Safety

Overview
The resources of W. F. Magann Corporation are continually focused on achieving and improving quality, safety, and performance on every job, large or small. Whether it's internal operations or specialty construction, quality workmanship begins with quality preparation and is emphasized at every level and phase of work.

It is the policy of our company to provide a safe and healthful place of employment for ALL OF OUR EMPLOYEES. To achieve our goal, we operate under four guiding principles:

Safety Program
We have developed a 200+ page Safety Program, which is administered by our full-time Director of Safety and his field staff. Our Program was developed based on the standards set forth by the following agencies:

U. S. Army Corps of Engineers		U. S. Department of Labor
Engineering Manual 385-1-1		Occupational Safety & Health Administration

The duty of our Director of Safety (DOS) is to ensure that all onsite activities, equipment, and facilities - whether performed, operated, maintained or constructed by W. F. Magann Corporation or our subcontractors and suppliers - conform fully to the standards contained in our Safety Program. Additionally, our DOS ensures that no one employed on any of our projects - including subcontractors and suppliers - engages in onsite work under conditions that are unsanitary, hazardous or dangerous to an employee's health or safety. To this end, our DOS has the full authority to direct work stoppage and to expend funds to correct conditions that pose imminent danger.
